Hey guys as you may remember my CT scan showed severe stenosis. I’m waiting to see consultant to arrange an angiogram. I’m the meantime I’ve received a letter with results of an echo. They say I show no valve disease and just mild annual calcification. So is the CT wrong?? Confused right now

Hi Jojo. I think they look at the heart in different ways. If the CT has shown severe stenosis and the cardiologist wants an angiogram you should go with it. 12 months before my heart attack my echocardiogram showed ‘boringly normal function ‘ according to the technician. The angiogram following the heart attack showed several blockages from 70 to 90%. However because the blood flow was getting through the vessels it didn’t show detailed pictures of the inside of the vessels which is what an angiogram does. Hope this helps. Hopefully your angiogram will give you answers for clarity. Take care and keep us posted. Zena
