I had a seizure a year ago and surrendered my driving licence. Since then I have been diagnosed with ARVC and advised to fit an ICD.

Does this mean an additional 6 months ban or will they take into account the 12 months already done?

Sorry to give you bad news. It might be worth ringing the DVLA medical people to confirm.

Hi. Your cardiologist can tell you the answer. I think after an ICD you cannot drive for 1 month. If the device shocks you then that would mean a longer period of no driving. The DVLA will also advise.
