I understood they are meant to last however long you do if they are made of metal

The metal mesh is sometimes drug eluding to help minimise the risk of the artery blockage returning. Additionally Clopidogrel is prescribed to minimise the likelihood of clots and strokes. Statins and lifestyle adjustments are also part of the treatment package to help you last as long as the sent.

Thanks I did,nt have any info bout them from professionals some person sed they last bout 8 yrs so don't no no info bout exercise or eating

Apparently the older ones could be problematic but the new drug eluting stents are much more successful and with the right diet, exercise and drug regime then they should last as long as you need them!
