problems with bisopropol
I’m on them but only been on all these meds for 2 weeks so hard to tell what side affects are for what meds 😂, I’ve had no dry eyes or muscle weakness.... as yet .
My side effects were so bad my box of Bisoprolol soon learnt what the bin was.
Yes, I was on them for two weeks and immediately had side effects. I suffered nausea and wind and a lower heart rate. My GP took me off them immediately but he told me they stay in your system for a couple of weeks so I had to wait two weeks after stopping them before I could start the new medication which is fine.
I was diagnosed with Angina and a Total Coronary Occlusion 2 weeks ago. I'm now on the list for a PCI CTO in the coming weeks.
I was immediately put on 5mg of Bisoprolol. I found myself to be dizzy and breathless. As I was in hospital for 8 days I had a chance to see what it was doing to me and get the dosage modified. The cardiologist cut the dose back to 2.5mg and I have agreed that I will increase it back to 5mg over 3-4 weeks.
A week after it was cutback I am now looking at increasing to 3.75mg and will wait until my body gets used to it before I increase it any further. The downside is that I am still using GTN spray at the moment although not as much as I was. I'm told that once the Bisoprolol is at the right level I will rarely need the GTN.
I dont know if something like this is an option for you but it's worth asking your doctor.
I have been on them for the past 10 months and have had no side effects from them. It does differ from person to person not everyone has side effects.
Hi I too have dry eyes I had red eye three times ( conjunctaritis ) before realised it was the dry eyes causing this I never had this before the tablets . I now have Hydro San extra eye drops from optician and this works for me.
Just increased today from 5mg to 7.5 mg building back up to 10mg. I am breathless but Cardiologist says lower heart rate protecting me from further future problems !!! Not at all easy to understand. but need to trust they know what they are doing !!!!

Hi I was on them and hated them as they acted like engine limiters on my muscles. I was training for the Heart of York bike ride and found it very difficult. My GP agreed to let me stop the because of the side effects but the next time I saw the cardiologist he was adamant I needed a beta blocker and put me on carvedilol which is fine
I've never had side effects until my bisoprolol was increased after cardio inversion a couple of weeks ago,now I'm really breathless taking 10mg a day, I'm going to stick with as I don't want AF again. Best wishes to all
