Benefits are increasingly complex. Five years ago I had ESA stopped after a farcical ATOS assessment. My GP has signed me off two weeks before and then after surgery. I switched to JSA because I could not be bothered with appealing and the money was the same. When I saw the assessment it was IMHO laughable. Someone I know was switched from DLA to PIP and were then refused their Blue Badge on renewal because of differences between DLA and PIP. They have now got one after appeal.
In your situation I would first ring the BHF nurses to see what guidance they can offer and also visit CAB. Seeing hour GP might also be worthwhile. You need to get there reason so you can appeal it.
