hi every1 after abit of advice i got a very hairy chest and back well everywhere really will i need 2 shave b4 my surgery on tuesday thanks

thanks jenny i just thought it be easier if it needed doing i would do it as got the pre assement before i go up 2 the ward and it bloody hurts putting the stickers on lol.hows things with urself hope ur doing well x

Aww bless you.

I dont envy the hairy chest and stickers.

I am ok thanks,been a bit off it last few weeks but i dont sleep well as this valve ticks and my heart rate bit high at minute.

You will at least get some revovering done before christmas.

Will be thinking of you

thanks hun im not looking 4ward 2 the ticking either but hope ill have energy and can plan 4 my future.how many weeks is it now since ur op.hows ur scar healing up x

Hi. If my experience is anything to go by, they (the nursing team prepping you) will ‘shave’ you from the neck downwards. They do not use razors as these can abrade the skin, they use clippers. My advice would be to leave your dignity and embarrassment at the hospital door and let them do it. At least that way it is done to their requirements.

In my case the nurse gave me clippers with a brand new set of blades and told me where to clip. Then I had to show the nurse to check. As I was CABG there was lots to remove!

Watch out for the itchy chest as the hair grows back though.

hi presume you be shaved I was shaved head to toe with only modest of bit left need I say more 😘for a tripple cabge and was done by the nurse and wasn't I would say the most gently of one so it might be worth getting some hair clippers out
