Reading these posts I now realise that there are different types of Angina. The cardiologist just said "Angina", so I really need to know what type and the differences don't I?
Please could someone enlighten me?
Thank you.

Not sure there are differing types of angina, differing types of pain and where the pain is. The word is used to describe chest pain (or other types of pain radiating from the chest) that occur when the good flow is constricted to your heart. Once you have had further tests they will be able to tell you more and what other treatment, if any, they will prescribe. It could be yours is controlled with meds, in which case nothing further unless it deteriorates. Maybe stents will be needed, maybe a bypass.
If you go onto BHF website you can order or download a booklet explaining about Angina and the different forms of Angina... ♥️

Hi there - don't worry too much about all the different terms! It can be confusing because the medical community keeps updating itself and changing the names of things!
The majority of people who have angina have coronary heart disease, which is when fatty plaque builds up in your arteries and reduces the amount oxygen that can get to your heart muscle.
I hope our resources on angina were helpful for you, but if you need chat to one of our helpline nurses about anything you can call 0300 330 3311 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Take care, Chris
Thank you very much Chris. I've made a note of the nurse helpline number just in case I don't understand at my next app.
