I have been feeling increasingly tired, breathless, faint and dizzy for the last few years. I always put it down to having 2 young kids and working part-time. Yesterday I collapsed at work, every time I tried sitting up I passed out. An ecg showed right bundle branch block. I've been referred to cardiology in the near future but I'm completely blind sided. My pulse rate averages 48-50 as discovered when I recently bought a fitbit but didn't think anything of it. My nana, mum and son all have heart conditions so it's possible it's congenital. Any words of support would be great x

Shock news yesterday
Hello butterfly, I am sorry to hear your diagnosis, good news is it's been found. Its very worrying and troubling for you and your family but we have a lot of great doctors who will be working with your for your treatment going forwards
I can see why you feel blind sided! You must be in shock.
Has your GP given you some medication to take until you see the cardiologist?
Now is the time to gather info and then ask 'what next'?
Take some time to get used to things then ask any questions you think of.
I know in your situation it must be difficult but please take it easy or as much as you can.
Hi Butterfly79
Try not to worry. You're in the right hands now and they'll find out what's happening with your heart. The doctors know so much about the heart these days and there are so many ways they can treat whatever your diagnosis may be. I know its a shock and scary but you WILL be fine.
I too have a right bundle branch block and a low natural BPM that was in the 40s. It was discovered when I had an episode of near blackout. I'll be honest its taken quite a while for me to get my final diagnosis as mine is a rare congenital condition. I know what a shock it is to find out your heart isn't behaving itself, I was 38 when my problems started and I couldn't believe it. Once you get your diagnosis, however long that may take, or if you want any (non medical obvs) advice along the way please get in touch.
There are so many kind lovely people on here that understand what you are going through so well done for finding yourself here. You'll find a lot of comfort and questions answered here.
Take care

I had palpitations and dizzy spells for 2 years and had numerous visits to my GP. I eventually collapsed and was found to have 2nd degree heart block which required a pacemaker. It's worth getting checked for a low pulse as my average beat per minute was 40 during my dizzy spells prior to my collapse.
