post bypass op problems

hi new to this community

I had triple heart bypass 4 weeks ago everything was going ok until 2 days ago when I developed a bad pain in neck near the pulse also the pulse in neck is quite pronounced

would like to know if anyone else as had similar symptoms

Hi Brian. I had a quad 7 months ago not experienced anything like that but have a sore neck shoulders and back almost permanently. My doctor thinks it the aftermath of the surgery, have you spoken to your doctor?

thanks I did check with gp he seems to think its muscular but its annoying when I walk or breathe deeply it hurts round bottom of neck. I will give it a few days to see if it settles down if not will go back to doctor thanks

Hi again after a few days the pain in neck settled down but now ot has come back a lot worse the pain killers dont touch it

Also now another problem when I do my walking exercise my fingers go very white and cold any thoughts please

I think you should speak to your doctor about it. It could just be muscular pain but maybe get it checked out?

I think you should go to the doctor, it could be neck related as there are a mass of nerves around there which can affect arms and fingers
