Hi - I am glad to hear you are doing well post operatively. Sorry to hear you still have some pain. It is possible that the pain is from nerve damage during your operation. Nerves can be extremely slow to mend, and sometimes never mend properly. Which can remain painful, although in my experience this becomes desensitized with time. But may remain numb. I hope this is useful.
kind regards
Hi
Interesting to read your post. I had an AVR in December. Operation went ok and successful rehab. However, over the last few weeks I have experienced a mild pain in my left arm when exercising similar to the symptom I had prior to the diagnosis of a severe aortic stenosis and which eventually lead to the operation to replace the valve. Do you still get the pain and have you any information as to the cause?
