colchicine

has anyone been given these colchicine to stop flare up ??

I take colchicine but i was told that they were to help with ulcers. I have been on them for a long time and when ulcers are really bad i have to increase to 3 or 4 a day. Normally i take 2 cant say they are a great treatment.

Hi there,

I was given Colchicine at the beginning of last year when I was over run with ulcers everywhere. It did actually get rid of my ulcers but my happiness was short lived as I suffered terrible side affects and had to come off it. It was the only thing that had actually helped on the ulcer side of things but had severe dizziness, sickness and cramps. If you don't suffer the side effects it does seem to help a lot of people.

I take colcicine 4 a day with no side effects. I rarely have mouth or genital ulcers any more, although I do get a lot of ulcers on and in my nose. I also have a couple developed in my ear this week. I would say that colchicine has been my most effective drug to date. Like cowpatty I was told it was to manage my ulcers only.

i take colcicine two times per day and havent seemed to have any side affects; it has helped me with mouth sores.
