Hi

Quick one here.

I look 9 months pregnant which as a guy isn’t great - does anyone else get bloating? If so how do you deal with it?

Thanks

I know this is controversial, but when I cut out a lot of the glutens I noticed a difference immediately. I am not gluten free per se. However I watch my carb intake incredibly. In fact I had an A1C of 10 and lowered in to 6.9 from July to 9, just by watching carbs. But a higher bread intake immediately makes my belly look like I’m pregnant. I’m 45 and I’m not thrilled with that look either. Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt. 😉

I had a couple of bread rolls at lunch with my soup. I feel much worse now.

Thinking a dinner or two of chicken and rice wouldn’t be a bad shout.

Thanks ldf

Take care

Same as Lovingdraginflies - cut the Gluten. My husband was diagnosed coeliac three years ago and it got me thinking. It is an intolerance with me and if I eat much Gluten now - like a bread cob I find I get bloating and very tired! Hope this helps.

Drinking water will help. I control mine with diet. If I eat too many carbs and for sure sugars- bloat and diarrhea city.

Hi Papapickle

I used to get terribly bloated to the point it hurt under my ribs, I cut out the carbohydrates, potatoes rice pasta anything made with flour sweets, and still I was bloated this never changed when my medications changed, I monitored everything and the only one thing I had continued to take throughout was the one thing I had been advised was there to protect my stomach and that was the Omeprazole, the proton-pump inhibitors, I read up on the affects of proton-pump inhibitors and was not happy with what I read so I removed this from my daily life, I suffered slight withdrawal symptoms but the bloating went and I have not gone back on the or any other proton-pump inhibitor...

Hope you find a solution, try peppermint tea might help.
