I have an appointment with ATOS in a week about my PIP claim and was just wondering about people's experiences with them eg. What kind of questions they ask and their knowledge of behcets, how prepared do I need to be for them do I take my medications and a list of my symptoms and things any info would be useful.
Thank you.

Hi I would take everything you can and make notes to take with you so that you dont forget. You must remember they want to know about your very worst days as that's what they will make the decision on. Most of us have to go to appeal as they don't usually know about BD, and it's getting much harder to make a successful claim. Appeals often work and you can get lots of advice from the citizens advice.
sorry about that....I checked in my messages and it's still there so I copied and sent another one.
It's a bit different now and I am not sure that you get tick on here to tell you anymore. Have you actually checked your message box.
I was a little worried for you because your question wasn't locked for "this community" only. You might not have noticed the facebook and twitter "share" symbols in blue at the bottom of your question which means anybody could share your question to twitter or facebook without your knowledge or permission.
Other peoples replies would be shared along with it as well.
I'm not telling you off....I just wanted you to know in case it wasn't what you wanted.
Good luck with your claim and hope you get my message which has some more info
Hi it's still not there I'm clicking on my username and then messages am I looking in the right place I understand what you mean I really should have thought first but this stuff happens
Hi, my wife has recently submitted a PIP claim and I 'found' a very good site with lots of information to help the claim and any appeal you may want/need to make - benefitsandwork.co.uk/
Please take a look if you time, they offer lots of help with PIP, ESA and DLA
Just wanted to say good luck - I haven't had to attend the appointment yet but unfortunately I have just had to make a PIP claim too and would be interested to know how you get on. If you attend a COE I think the support workers can help with claims. X
