Hi there

Not sure where you live but a neurologist who is experienced in the Neurological symptoms behcets is the best place to start.

There are Centres of Excellance in England and also neurologists in England and also many other countries throughout the world.

If you give us all a bit more info it may help us to point you in the best direction.

Hope this helps

Fully agree with andreafm. I saw a neurologist for persistent headaches and i was given a lumbar puncture. Rather awful after effect . Fortunately all results were negative.

Do take care

Hi

I have neuro Behcets,to begin with they thought I had just ''Behcets with neurological complications''..the way they tested was a lumber puncture, they can tell by that, once they have tested/seen if you have raised proteins and something else (sorry I can't recall the other thing!) in your spinal fluid. That is the only way they can test you,I know this 100%..as said I think either one of the specialist centres,or a Neurologist (I wasn't seeing the centres when I was diagnosed it was my neurologist.

Hope this helps & good luck xx

Lumbar puncture is the common go-to test as they like to get a detailed biochem picture whilst ruling out other things. If you are uneasy about it or can't have one, an MRI scan can be useful in identifying any lesions that may be present.

I was under the impression that once ur central nervous system is affected, its considered neuro behcets. Can anyone elaborate on this
