Thrush can be a real pain and some people seem very prone to it. Firstly, have you tested to make sure there isn't something else going on that may seem like thrush? An STI screen would be a great idea.
Have you considered that it could be something else such as bacterial vaginosis?
There are some holistic things you can do to help your body fight thrush, alongside medical help. Cream is good for the itching, pessaries can help and the oral tablets are excellent (you can get them for about £2 from your pharmacy off brand).
Some people cut out all the sugar and yeast which might help, also a good quality acidophilus supplement is sometimes useful. Steer clear of tight clothes, hot baths, any soap in the genital area, don't scrub or douche and stick with warm salt water for relief. If you have a sexual partner, get them to take the treatment too, plus wash their hands and penis if they have one (but not with anything harsh).
I also used to suffer from itching that I thought was thrush at that age. Had all sorts of tests but nothing showed up. Was definitely worse if my partner used condoms, but not an allergy as such.
Was advised all the usual things about not washing too frequently, cotton underwear, no jeans or leggings.... And the best cream I found to use was calendula. Very soothing. Might be worth a go? Make sure it's a homeopathic one.
