Itchy anus😖

I recently got tested and then treated for chlamydia and course is finished etc. The past couple of days I’ve had an itchy anus and I read someone else posted about it and had been tested and had got chlamydia. I wonder if it’s related! I don’t have haemorrhoids, threadworms and I’m very hygienic and shower daily (2x a day if I’ve worked out) so I know it’s not those...does anyone have any idea?? I’m a bit paranoid about STI’s etc now (I haven’t had sex since I have been tested and taken med’s - for about 1-2 months now)

You can certainly get chlamydia in the bum - usually a person would to have had anal sex for this to occur. The treatment however is the same - one week of doxycycline. If you and your partner both completed treatment successfully, and avoided sex while on it, it should have been effective. Remember most haemhorroids are internal.

Well I’ve never had anal & we’ve completed the treatment and not had sex since as he’s working abroad...😅 do you have any idea what else it could be? It’s definitely not haemorrhoids because I’ve had a colonoscopy about 3 months ago for a stomach issue and there was nothing there. I’ve been tested and cleared of other STI’s...😅

Could be a skin problem affecting the anus ? eczema and psoriasis can affect there, also sometimes tinea cruris ( yeast infection in skin folds )

So I should perhaps go to the GP and ask for some cream?

Try topical clotrimazole and hydrocortisone 1% twice daily for 10-14 days. you can buy it over the counter .
