Thrush?

Me and my boyfriend had chlamydia and I also developed BV and thrush from it. We think we have got rid of the chlamydia and I went back to the GP because I still have a smell coming from down below and they done tests and it came back I only have thrush now. However I have had the treatment 2 times now. Me and my boyfriend also have sexual intercourse everyday without contraception since I don’t mind getting pregnant. I have just come off my period but we have had sex while Iv been on. We never use condoms. What do I do? And what causes it to keep coming back and not going away?

Sorry its a little unclear what you mean. Your GP has less sensitive tests for BV and candida than a sexual health clinic. What exact symptoms are you having that you think are candida ( thrush ) ? If you have a vaginal odour its more likely to be BV . If the GP tests are negative I would attend a sexual health service.

Yes but I'm afraid GP tests are less sensitive than the (nearly ) instant direct tests of the vaginal flora in a sexual health clinic .

Does BV cause any problems with trying to get pregnant?

No it doesn't cause problems in getting pregnant . There is an association between BV and second trimester miscarriage - in other words, if a woman has a second trimester miscarriage before, then you would likely treat BV if she had it in another pregnancy.
