Can I get the pill for free? Do I also need proof or receiving a benefit before I am entitled to it for free?
Free Pill Contraception: Can I get the pill for free... - BASHH
Free Pill Contraception
If you're from the UK contraceptives are generally free through the NHS. Of course the pill isn't available over the counter and you will need to make an appointment with your GP about the pill so that you can go over on what pill would be right for you. You can also go to most sexual health services (like Brook) and get it from there but I'm unsure if it's for free or if there's a cost. But everything will lead back to your GP to ensure that the pill is suitable for your health and wont have any negative effects upon it.
All contraception for women in the UK is free - unless you are paying a private doctor for it.
In UK you can also get the pill or mini pill at Lloyds chemist online - other chemists may offer this service. However you do pay for them. The convenience of this service is that you don't have to make an appointment to see the doctor. You fill out an online survey. The Dr at Lloyds will possibly email you and ask more questions. Then its approved and you collect in a couple of days.
