FORESKIN SPLITS DURING SEX

Hi, i want to know what i can do. When having sex my foreskin sometimes splits. its quite painful, akin to a papercut and take 4 / 5 days to heal. I visited my GP some years ago and he said to use more lubrication and bath in warm water and try to loosen the foreskin which should help. i took all this on board, bath regularly, use extra lubricated condoms and also additional lubrication but i still end up with these painful splits in the tip of my foreskin. Is there anything else i can do to sort this. I have considered getting a circumcision, but that is a little extreme, although if thats the only solution, at this stage, i'm well up for it (excuse the pun).

It does seem that you have phimosis [tight foreskin] although if you are older there is a rarer condition where the foreskin hardens called BKO [balinitis K.... occlusans]. To be perfectly honest the advice from the doctor is not all that helpful. The only real solution is as you surmise a circumcision [which if you are in UK should be on the NHS]. Another solution [which leaves an ugly result in my opinion] is a "dorsal slit" which simply is a cut from the tip of the foreskin towards the body.

There are said to be steroid creams which are supposed to soften the foreskin which you may wish to try but a referral to a urologist would be good
