Other antiviral medications that may be used to treat genital herpes include famciclovir and valaciclovir. Val - is the best i think. If you break out often it could be down to stress, not feeling good. most people don't have HVP 2 symptoms

I have famciclovir i find it very affective.

It is 3 pills a day for a course of 5 days.

I only take it when I need too. It doesn't numb the pain but after the 5 days it's usually no longer there.

The disease never goes away. It just goes to sleep and rises on your skin because of various reasons like stress and friction.

Before switching medicine talk to you doctor. Herpes isn't meant to get worse. It is meant to be always better than the first outbreak.
