13 weeks pregnant and bleeding

Hi all ,

Wanted to post this as reading other people’s post about it really helped me. I am currently 13 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I had a miscarriage earlier this year and I am 36 years old. So this is my second pregnancy that’s gone this far (no other children ) anyways I had been spotting brown blood since 5 weeks and had scans in 8 weeks , 10 weeks , 12 weeks and now in 13 weeks I had red blood which scared me , I truly thought it was going to happen again . It wasn’t heavy bloody but I was dripping blood for 5 hours before it turned brown . I went to a&e had blood and urine done and came back normal . I didn’t bleed over night but was so worried . The next morning I had a scan and my bean was happy 😊 healthy and moving . I just wanted to say that it’s not always doom and gloom if you see red blood , they have no idea why it happened but it’s just one for those things . So please stay positive and calm , as long as you have no cramps or bleeding heavy to soak a pad , most likely the baby is fine . Just wanted to share my story .
