Hi, hope you are all doing ok in these crazy times.

Sorry if this is a silly question but should I use cot bumpers?

My beautiful little boy is 14 weeks and seems to be growing by the minute. He's currently still in his Moses basket but is nearly filling it, as he's very long so I'm thinking he soon may be more comfy in his cot.

I always thought that you needed cot bumpers but on looking it up some people advise against for safety reasons, I of course don't want to risk anything at all but is there anything i can buy to stop him hitting his head as he does thrash around a bit!

Xx

Please have a read on justice for Preston on Facebook if you are on there. They used cot bumpers . Unfortunately their little boy is no longer with them. I’d say not to use them x

In my opinion better not to use them. My first one spent most of the time i our bed anyway and if he did in cot he was sleeping still, I saw no need for bumpers, got them but after read of few stories I never used them. My second one is basically sleeping a lot in the cot and omg he is such a traveller around the cot but again I never used bumpers I don’t trust them, to me they are more risky then if a baby will touch the cot themselves, apparently my son soon learnt that travelling around cot might not be bumper free area and he’s better now with sleeping there minding the barriers then when he was a starter.
