Is the midwife you meet at your first appointment going to be the one following you throughout pregnancy and on D-day?
The one I met was perfectly friendly and nice but I didn’t connect with her the way I would like. After going through miscarriage, I am pretty anxious and didn’t feel she was giving me the level of support I was looking for. So I was wondering if she’s going to be the one I always see
Thanks

Hiya will probably be the one you see for appointments but unlikely to be the one you have when you give birth as it depends on who is working at the time at the hospital and community midwives that you see at the GPs don’t tend to work on the delivery wards as far as I am aware xx
I saw the same one for appointments and I also didn’t connect with her as she didn’t seem sympathetic to my miscarriage and IVF. She wasn’t there during birth though
I think it depends on the hospital as for me I never saw the same midwife twice! Every time it was a different one. I thought it was odd and is probably not that common but that was what happened to me.
