So I'm back to having sleepless nights. Sleeplessness has plagued me throughout my pregnancy. It went away for a while but now it's back. I'm having huge pain in my groin and feeling pressure down below. I'm at risk of pre eclampsia so I'm being checked at the hospital all the time. My blood pressure wont behave and my kidney function isn't great. I constantly feel hot! Tbh I just want baby out now. The sleeplessness is the worst because when I get up I tend to feel panic. I'm not sure why. I'm usually very hot and it's a horrible feeling. Please write me back if you relate to any of this. I'm worried these feelings will continue after baby is born.

It's so tough! Sorry your having a tough time. I was up for hours each night particularly in the last trimester. In the end I stopped fighting sleep and gave myself a boring and gentle activity to do each night if I was awake - file and buff my nails, or do some online food shopping, or fold some laundry. I didn't have any risk factors so I appreciate it's a different situation for you, and you must be worried. Your being looked after by the doctors, and not long to go now! I went through a phase where i struggled with insomnia after she was born, with my little one I was panicky that she would wake any moment and cry. But trust your body and mind, you adjust and cope well because you are designed to look after the baby. Biggest help for me was not listening to sleep when baby sleeps advice but rest when baby sleeps. Caused me less anxiety.
Just wanted to send you big hugs and hoping these last few weeks go smoothly. It's an anxious time waiting for the baby to arrive, but you got it and you're going to do a great job xxx
I had AWFUL restless legs in the last month of my pregnancy so I spent nights awake and I was so frustrated and cried and had to go to work feeling exhausted. I was having to walk around my house at night, put ice then hit water bottles all over my legs, it was horrendous...so I feel ya! I didn’t have any issues with sleep once my baby was born - other than sleeplessness caused by having a baby! Good luck x
