I’m 23 weeks pregnant and yesterday I ate a very small toastie (one ‘warburtons thins’ toasted) with chorizo and cheese.

Didnt realise until after i’d eaten it that i shouldnt have. I’m a really fussy eater anyway so didnt worry too much about the list of food I shouldnt eat .. i dont like 99.9% of them anyway, just chorizo it would seem 😔 i’m super worried. Do you think i’m ok?

O bless u. I remember that feeling. I did that a couple of times during my pregnancy by accident. First time I was in France during my 2ww from ICSI and sort of forgot and ate a variety of soft cheeses and beat myself up (convinced myself I’d then buggered up my chance of my BFP) then I did it again with beef @ 25weeks which I didn’t realise was very pink 😩🤦🏼‍♀️ and everything was absolutely fine with my little boy. I think it’s just extra precaution to cut out certain foods to reduce the risk but as a one off you’ll be absolutely fine! I know loads of women that have done this. If you are super concerned I think you can have a toxoplasmosis test if u ask the midwife. But I shouldn’t think this is necessary. Xxx

The risk of catching anything is super small. Lots of countries dont have these dietary restrictions for pregancy such as France.

as long as it’s cooked through and is hot, it’s fine xx
