Has anyone had a beneficial experience requesting accommodations or letting employers/coworkers know about your autism? At what point in your job did you let them know and how?

I am English so this may be different but typically as soon as you know you should talk to you boss and get the support needs as soon as possible (make sure hr know as well). But your co workers is up to you and you may inform them as they need to know
