Hi

Does anyone know if I can start to include petrol money i give my PA for coming to my house 2 hours per day when I fill in my financial assessment papers for the local authority. Can this help with bringing my contribution towards my care down when I fill in my assessment papers. Until now I have not shown any. My PA is self employed and is paid directly by my local authority.

Hi Lucacille, The financial assessment will consider what you are financially able to afford. Unfortunately I don’t think it will make your financies come down in regards with the petrol money as you pay the PA separate.

Would it be ok, to ask why you pay her petrol money?
