Friendship and confidence

My daughter is finding it difficult to have friendships and is almost 12. She has experienced name calling, for example, fat, ugly, strange, retarded etc. Absolutely awful! Does anyone have any advice on how to build confidence and friendships? Thanking you in advance.

Thanks, unfortunately it takes my daughter a long time to be able to tell me me. It has been dealt with at the school but it plays on her mind. I'm going to try some relaxation techniques and try to use some anxiety busting tools. I agree that the behaviour is awful! Thank you so much for your help.
