Hello "ted",

look at this, please

****************:

What are tags?

Tags are like helpful labels that allow you to find useful posts quickly. They appear at the bottom of questions and posts. When you write a post you should add relevant tags to your own posts and questions by typing them in the tag box. By clicking on a tag you will be able to find all the questions and posts that have the same tag, making browsing much easier.

Hi Ted

When you go to ask a question and you write your question in the box, there is a box underneath entitled 'Tags'. In that you type a word, which is known as a tag, that is relevant to your question. For example, in your question 'Has anyone found exercise helpful for ataxia' a possible word or tag would be 'exercise'. You can add as many tags as you like to a question, just separate each word/tag in the box with a comma.

Hi Ted,

It's very helpful to tag a question. Tagging puts it into a catagory. It makes it so much

easier to search for a subject you want information on. A tag simply refers to the subject

of your question. I hope this explanation is correct and helpful!

I never use tags anyway. I prefer to keep up to date by looking at the most recent questions and blogs on the main page. I don't find tags much helpful to me. I've also noticed that there are no tags displayed on the home page. They only show up in the questions and blogs link.

But looking through the list of tags & click one

is a lot quicker.

I always tag mine, but agree with Iain and have never actually found them useful.

I am happy though for the admins to add tags, or change them even if they want to if they believe their tags would be better.

I am also happy for the admins to add tags to my posts if they wish.
