Do others suffer with bad tension headaches?Sometimes brought on by eyeglasses wear?

Yes I can relate to tension headaches often caused by gritted teeth. Having to ask for things to be done but not controlling how they are done, is for me, very stressful. I don't want to use painkillers other than pregabalin for nerve pain so I have go let go. It's hard to not care but that's how it is. Stay safe and don't forget to smile x

Thanks Patsy, I was prescribed propanol for migraine prevention. 3x 10 mg. I did an experiment reducing it to 2 per day. The headaches started probably 4 a week. So I went back to 3 and hey presto. It worked....

Hi Tallguy. Do you know what type of ataxia you have? If it's idiopathic (doctors don't know) it might be worth looking into gluten being a cause of your ataxia.I had migraines for nearly 20 years, didn't go anywhere without the triptans, so an acute rather than a preventative medication. I now know the migraines and headaches were caused by gluten.

All those days lost in bed and not able to function. If only the doctors had said!!!

Hi Penelope yes I only found out earlier this year, it's sca 48. It took almost 20 years before that it was "unknown type and cause".Interestingly I was prescribed beta blockers, propanalol 30 mg per day for migraine prevention. For ages I was only taking 20 mg as I didn't like the feeling of the extra tablet. But I started having daily headaches so I did up the dose and hey presto it worked! The neurologist knew best
