I have as I am sure many others too. Unfortunately they either don't work at all or is a very expensive temporary improvement. Sadly these clinics and others like them are exploiting people, if it were really effective then the neurologists would be advocating it not rolling their eyes. Steer clear, save your money and maybe get some exercise equipment as everyone will tell you has a positive benefit, as long as it's done safely and regularly.

Hi Konuralp, there is currently no scientific evidence to show that the 'stem cell treatment' offered by these clinics works. They do not open themselves up to scrutiny by researchers and there is evidence that some people have been harmed by these clinics. Please see Ataxia UK's statement on this: ataxia.org.uk/wp-content/up...

I am the Chief Executive of Ataxia UK. I am not a clinician or a scientist, but Ataxia UK has a Research Department employing scientists; we fund research into the ataxias and have relationships with clinicians and scientists across the world.
