SCA in Texas

Good morning, I have been diagnosed with SCA3 and live in Texas. I was wondering if there are others SCA patients on this forum in Texas?

We don’t live in Texas, but I used to, I lived in Copperas Cove.

Great amounts of research is being done for SCA3 patients at present, I wish you all the best!

Hello!! My name is Jaishree, I am 57 years old, I live in London , was diagnosed with SCA3 10 ýears ago. My mother used to have it, as it is genetic 2 of my siblings have it too. They got diagnosed around the same te too.

Thank you for your replies. I am 52 years old and was diagnosed 4 yrs ago, at 48 yrs old. My mother too had it. She passed at 72 yrs old. How has your progression been? I’m still walking, driving and exercising, trying to slow my progression.

On another note, I got the first dose of the Covid vaccine yesterday! I wish everyone a good and better 2021!

I am 3 hrs away in San Antonio but my neurologist is in Houston.

Who is your neurologist in Houston. My family member’s neurologist is Dr. Mavis Fujii
