PRRT2 mutation

Hi, I had autoimmune encephalitis nearly 8 years ago and was misdiagnosed with FND so received no treatment. I’ve been left with ataxia and dysarthria. I’ve been found to have a mutation in my PRRT2 gene which I share with my eldest 2 children but not my youngest so I’ve been told it’s a red herring. Has anyone else got a PRRT2 gene mutation?

I know this is a really old post but I have only just seen it.

I have a duplication and potentially a depletion on the PRRT2 gene. I have only found one other person in the UK with this gene it seems to be so rare.
