Hello friends, hope you are all as well as can be.

I would like to say a massive thank you to group of runners running in the London marathon for Ataxia uk my son in law Ben Smyth is in that group Ben has raised so much awareness and money in the last year and is a huge supporter of Ataxia uk.

Ben himself has overcome adversity as he had a motorcycle accident at 17 and broke his back in six places he was in a full body brace for 18 months and a wheelchair for 2 years so he sort of gets the struggles I’m in every day and all ataxia sufferers.

Good luck to all the runners stay safe

I think you congratulated our granddaughter Emma when she ran the Sheffield half marathon at the end of March ? Now it’s my turn, well done Ben for raising a wonderful amount of money for Ataxia,it couldn’t have been easy for you. Unfortunately,we didn’t follow much of the Marathon this year as my husband of 91,previously in good health, suffered a stroke last Sunday,so that is why I am late with my congratulations. He is making good progress but he had been my unpaid carer.Jeanette.

Hello Jeanette thank you for that Ben did us proud as did Emma. I’m sorry to hear about your husband’s stroke I hope he’s doing better. You all take care and be safe my best wishes.
