In Japan there is a medicine Talterelin TRH analogue available.

My ex-neurologist fund that info.

I read on the web that the medicine is developed to help

with a lack of hormone that cerebellum emits. It's also being researched in US.

As far as I know the lack of that hormone causes ataxia.

Please ask your neurologist. I do so tomorrow.

The study in Japan related to two specific groups...Spinocerebellar Ataxia was not one of them.

Strengths and limitations of this study

This study is the first large-scale prospective multiple system atrophy (MSA) registry system in Asia.

Our research provides useful clinical information on the differences between cerebellar symptoms predominant type MSA and parkinsonism predominant type MSA.

Took Taltirelin for about a year. Helped incredibly a lot at first, then tapered off. I have SCA 3. If you can afford it, I would say it doesn't hurt to try? mimaki-family-japan.com/ite...
