I have a balance board and try to use it daily. I also have other balance exercises I do daily while I watch TV. Since I have been doing them my balance deterioration has been more gradual so I guess they are useful. My balance board was quite reasonable online. I can’t say I enjoy using it though!

I have one I got off Amazon, I think they help but you have to make sure you have hand support readily available when trying to balance!

Hi is it the round balance boards you are all talking about. I didn't know about them but just looked on Internet the round ones are cheaper but they have long ones also

Hi, I have a balance board. It is a rectangular piece of strong memory foam and useful for weight shifting of feet and stand alone balance exercises. Think it works core muscles at same time too. Also just for practice stationery walking while holding on too. Have tried the ball type ones and they are hard to use.

Fit people would use them to increase their workouts. Easy to store. On amazon they are not expensive.

Not only do they help at first, but they make you feel as if you have achieved something. Give it a go while you can is my advice.

Anything which works to strengthen postural muscles and keep your joints flexing will help overall balance. A balance board wouldn’t be my personal preference, but if you fancy it give it a go!
