As any one had genetic test done and what it consit of just blood tests ?

Yes, I have - just bloods for me.

Yes, at UCL, just blood tests but results took 2 years

Bloods taken at Oxford many years ago but no firm diagnosis.

🙂 I had testing (DNA) in 2011 and results were negative. Recently my Neurologist told me further types had been found, and it would be worth doing further testing.

Hi Tazwaz.UCLH did what they call the first level of tests for a genetic/hereditary test. Nothing was found and it took 5 months for most of the results.

They wanted me to have a lumbar puncture too, which I refused.

And to have the next level of testing which again I refused.

I thought carefully, for me it was all about the 'self fulfilling prophecy' and my children.

Do consider testing carefully and do what is right for you.
