Hi - I was recently diagnosed with this - which my mother also had. For about the past year I've been constantly dizzy and extremely fatigued. Does anyone else experience this ?

I understand fatigue is experienced in all ataxias due to body's effort to control symptoms. Also giddiness for similar reasons but it could be something else. X

Hi Hickox

I have type 6 but as already mentioned fatigue and dizziness is a symptom of all SCR’s it’s just everything we do in a normal day takes a lot more effort.

We can only try and not do too much which is difficult as every day can be different.

I don’t think much can be done with dizziness certainly no medication for it.

You take care my friend.
