I am triple jabbed and still tested positive on Christmas Eve. Lateral flow tests are still positive but I feel fine. Anyone else had a positive test? And how did it go?

Maybe ring your GP, use the Gov.uk website or even ring up for advice x

I’m ‘triple vaccinated’ plus the flu jab, and I’m been unwell for a week with bronchospasms which have resulted in me fighting for breath, a very sore throat and earache. It’s been scary, I really wondered if it was Covid related, but a lateral flow test was negative. I went online to see where my nearest PCR Testing was, the site showed my nearest test Centre was at leat 50miles away, so I applied for a PCR Test by post.

By New Years Day I was struggling, I couldn’t get an any response from my Health Centre, I rang a local Pharmacy and was told my nearest Walk-in clinic was open. There I was prescribed an antibiotic and advised to go to a local Walk-in PCR Test Centre, not shown on the NHS site 😶

🙂 My Test is negative, and I feel much improved after the antibiotic.

Glad to hear it wasn’t Covid-19, but still horrible. My Covid-19 symptoms were head cold meets tonsillitis, I had such a sore throat I couldn’t sleep for two days, slightly runny nose and body aches, all in all lasted 6 days but I’m day 10 and still testing positive!

I had the booster in October and the flu vaccination September, I was classed as category 2 in the initial vaccination roll out. Am bemused as to how I caught it as I’m housebound and when I do get taken out in a wheelchair I’m wearing a mask and can’t touch anything!

A neighbour told me her main Covid symptoms had been severe fatigue and pounding headaches..I don’t go out much either, but I have been mixing with close family, who have been mixing with extended family etc.. so really I wouldn’t have been surprised if the test had been positive. But, obviously there’s a different virus doing the rounds...

Coping with current symptoms has been exhausting but I can now see the wood for the trees 🙂

🙂 I hope you feel much better very soon..

Hello, both my wife and I had Covid over Xmas. We believe it was the Omicron variant as we both caught it from our son who came over from London (much to my protestations).

The illness itself was extremely mild, and had it not been Covid I would have gone to work

I had nothing but a bunged up nose, a very slight cough and a bit of tiredness on one day. My wife was much the same, though she lost her sense of smell and had a very sore throat.

A friend of mine felt rough over Xmas though he didn't do any tests.

That is the problem-people thinking they just have a cold.

I tested negative on day9.

Sorry, this was meant for OP!

I live in London with three children at school so we have lots of tests lying around. I believe I had omicron because it was so mild, we know 6 people who are close contacts who have it, it’s like everyone in London has it (1 in 10), but at least it’s mild, especially with the vaccinations and booster.

Hi there, Like you I've had 2 AZ vaccinations and 1 booster in October. Since I had a mild stroke 2 years ago I have been extremely cautious and no longer go shopping, rarely have contact with others and maintain safe distances. Recently I had a cleaner who comes and because of the prolonged Christmas break I had two cleaners one day just before Christmas. To cut the story short, I was informed later that day that one cleaner had tested positive. Six days later I also tested positive. I had a cold, runny nose, very slight sore throat, no new cough, no temperature, and to be honest I wouldn't have known or tested but for the fact I was notified as a possible contact. I managed to get a home PCR test and duly sent that back. Still waiting for the result 5 days later.

I still tested positive (lateral flow test) after 6 days. Due to the shortage in this area of LFT's or PCR's testing kits I continue to isolate. The sun will shine again🤧 ☀️ ................. but when

I had the omicron variant and test and trace believe I picked it up at a panto I went to a few days before it is mild, my husband had the original version before lockdown 1 and he was very ill at home for about two weeks so I’m kind of glad if I was going to get it that I got omicron!

My PCR results took 6 days btw!

Three vaccines4 out of 5 in house tested positive Xmas

Only one had cold-like symptoms (he is asthmatic)

We are firm believers in the vaccine

Without it, who knows

With it, nothing much to write home about!
