Walking sticks with foldaway seats

Hey all,

Does anyone have buying advice for walking sticks with foldaway seats?

E.g. recommendations, things to look for / avoid, etc.

Upon a quick search, I can see there's a few different styles:

flipstick.co.uk/

completecareshop.co.uk/mobi...

walkingsticks.co.uk/black-c...

(...and probably some more!)

Cheers,

Ed

EDIT: Thanks all for replies!

I think the separate chairs (with 2 legs) are more stable.

I have one similar to the top left one. Click on the image to see it. I found it simply too heavy and awkward to be used very often. They bang into you. I think they are all going to be like this, a small seat you can carry over your shoulder on webbing or in a bag might be more useful with an ordinary stick- I have Leki poles as you can 'hang' off them, resting weight on them is no good if you don't really know where upright is. The seat sticks are all quite short too, as is a normal walking stick.

saet sticks, variuos.

No, they don't appeal to me. I prefer 4wheeled rollater.

These sticks with seats do not look safe or sturdy, to me. One of the biggest problems I have with Cerebellar Ataxia, is balance! Also, my gait is irregular ( like as if someone is walking drunk ), at times. I could never walk a straight line, if my life depended on it. So, at least for me, a sturdy 4 wheeler, with a seat is best!

I can walk about mile but need to have a seat along the way - I use my normal walking stick and carry a Helinox One chair - it is light, folds small and is robust _ I have found it ideal
