Does Melatonin have adverse effects on Cerebellar Ataxia since it is supposed to affect those with auto-immune diseases? Before that, is Cerebellar Ataxia an auto-immune condition? All the very best to all of you....I am getting so tired of being told "IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD!" and most thankful for this empathetic forum.

Hi I had melatonin for 3 years - started with 6 mg and reduced it to 0 mg. No side effects. I slept better and the melatonin corrected my sleep cycle. Good luck. Do read up on melatonin, there's so much on internet.
This is the first I have heard about cerebellar ataxia being related to auto-immmune issues... I have Hashimoto's thyroid disease, and parkinson's. I have taken 10 mg time-release melatonin for years with no side effects, I think. What should I be looking for?
Check out posts by chartist, he has written extensively about melatonin.
