Yes, I have spasticity. My arms, legs and virtually anywhere in my body can spasm.

I did take baclofene for a few years, but then it stopped working and actually started to make my spasticity worse so my neurologist took me off them.

I now have no medication for my spasticity. I have to do stretching exercises regularly otherwise the muscles become painful. I see a physiotherapist twice a week and he stretches me and massages me. My neck contracts a lot, and if left will give me migraines.

The baclofene may work for you though ;)

Hi, the physio I go to is not NHS. I live in SW France and with the French health system I get two sessions of physio per week - forever, which the government pays for.

I've had ataxia 20+ years and have spasticity, My neurologist says that ataxia and spasticity go hand in hand for most. I tried taking Baclophen but it really didn't help me and made me extremely tired, therefore any neurologist took me off of it. I try to exercise daily and that seems to help. Also PT (physical therapy) is helpful for me. ;o)
