Support when it’s needed most

In yesterday’s Sunday Telegraph Magazine (Stella), there was an article about a lady whose husband had been diagnosed with SCA6.

We know that not everyone is challenged in exactly the same way with ataxia even if the same type is diagnosed, and progression is not always exactly the same.

But, its important to know that support is there when it’s needed most, this family was supported by sueryder.org

Sue Ryder. Org is another charity well worth supporting, if you have a mind to support a charity! 😀

Interesting to hear this. I thought Sue Ryder helped cancer patients but I've just looked them up and it says they offer 'palliative, neurological and bereavement support'. So thanks for the info

🙂If you live in the UK, they offer Palliative, Neurological and Bereavement Support. This can be comforting, depending on your needs.

It is great he has this support in the UK. I have SCA 6 to in Las Vegas, NV USA.

I belong in The National Ataxia Foundation (NAF), and am the ambassador for this city. I will look into company support.

Thanks 🙏

🙂 Howard, I searched, and there is a similar link in your area (search Palliative, Neurological Support in Nevada). I’m also a member of NAF🙂

Hi, I read the article and found it quite depressing but the silver lining is in there being an article in the national press about SCA atall, shows an increasing awareness which does encourage me .
