Since my diagnosis I have noticed my voice changing. I am definitely slightly slurred but I’m doing vocal exercises to improve this.
What’s really annoying me is that my voice has gotten hoarse and sounds like I smoke lots or something. Do other people experience this and do you have any solutions or something that may help?

I just do some reading out loud. I should be doing it every day but I have gotten out of the habit recently. Even ten minutes a day makes a difference!
I have C.A. and my voice is very weak. I am trying to read out loud but it is very tireing. I would be very interested in some other form of excersize. Could you tell me what vocals you do.

Hi I can’t believe I’m reading this post. Have been off work for a week so haven’t been reading. My voice is exactly how you describe. Slurred sometimes when I speak too much. It is really hoarse, very subtle changes. I haven’t done anything about it because I didn’t think I could. Any ideas welcomed.
Singing may help if u can. Im very slurred & quiet but being part of a choir (as you can be drowned out! & do as much or as little as you like) helped project my voice. If it's not for you then singing along to music at home may help? Good luck
I have had the same problem for several years and my voice has become very hoarse. My doctor referred me to a ENT specialist who found nothing sinister. He believes it is something connected to my CA condition. Initially I was referred to a voice therapist but now accept that it is something I have to accept.
Thanks guys. At the moment, I'm just trying to read out loud for a while every day and making an effort to annunciate which is easier to do while reading rather than having a conversation! So nothing major but it does seem to help when I do it regularly. A speech therapist that I saw recommended singing too. I am tone deaf so I try to sing along with music at home, I think my voice is too bad to let other people hear
