I have my first Pip tribunal since I started. Anyone got any pointers

give them every single bit of information on how your illness affects you, don't say that you cope ever, do your homework on your illness too. my pip experience took a fair bit of effort and concentration but it turned out ok but the ESA one was horrid and I had to go to a mandatory tribunal but this website helped me a great deal benefitsandwork.co.uk/perso...

It amazes me that even after diagnosis they dismiss folk as scroungers, I wish I could work and not claim a penny

When I went for my PIP tribunal, the three men sitting in front of me had never heard of Ataxia.

I had a PIP:L interview a couple of years ago. I had DLA before but PIP gave me more

Yes, my son also was questioned by 3 people, we were allowed to contribute to each question too.

They asked a number of general questions first but ultimately zoned into those that carried highest number of points, once they were satisfied he met the criteria and reached the required number of points for higher level PIP, they didn't go through the rest of questions.

We did submit additional letters prior to the Tribunal.

Let them know everything you don’t agree with again and why would you and your doctor make this up.i spoke my mind and told them I have never felt so humiliated. I also asked if the first assesment was carried out by someone higher higher than prof h in Sheffield.i went through this twice because of a mistake by them.both times I won my appeal.let all your months of anguish come out don’t hold back,I didn’t. Also after 7 days I phoned to asked when it would be reinstated again only to be told they had a backlog and had to wait.i said I waited long enough to get to this point so I would give the paper my story to see if they could help. Somebody phoned me straight back and I got my pip back dated and in the bank within days. Good luck. Let them have it.💪💪

Dont be negative or angry with them, exaggerate what you cant do, not many understand ataxia, they will ask you about a good day, say you dont have them, hope you have sent them letters from your dr etc, good luck, it is not nice to have to go through all this
