Hi is anyone on a medication called CellCept mycophenolate mofeti?

Do you go to the Sheffield Ataxia Centre by any chance? I see Prof Hadjivassiliou, and he suggested I try Mycophenolate ( don't know if there are different types ). However, I haven't as, being an immunosuppressant, I feared 'other' health problems. As I am 71, I hope to manage without it. I don't know how much it's used to treat Ataxia. The leaflet I was given to read was produced by Arthritis Research, as the drug is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis. The decision, of course, is yours. If you do try it, I hope it helps. I'd be grateful if you'd let me know how you get on.

Thanks Yes I am at Sheffield & yes I have just started 4 days ago.he has given it to me for stiff persons syndrome so I am hoping.

Hi! Intersting about the SPS. Ive got it or rather a form of it and gluten ataxia. PM me so we can chat . Amd yes, im at Sheffield and was offered M but atbthe moment the other other meds are stabilising things.
