I do not have seizure type problem or trouble sitting upright, although I do feel drunk, due to my gait/balance. I use a cane (stick) to get around, although sometimes I use a rollator or walker. I have much body sway. I have Sporadic Cerebellar Ataxia (unknown cause, progressive, symptoms 24/7). My best to you..., ;o)

Yes, I've had grand mal seizures, unfortunately, in addition to CA. Because of my swaying sometimes, when I walk, because of balance problems and an ataxic gate, people may get the impression that I am drunk. I couldn't walk a straight line for all the tea in China. Ha! I use a cane, and a shopping cart at the store, when shopping

A stick and the use of a walking frame allows me to remain at home and enjoy life.

Stress is a driver of attacks that affect me. Rest, prescribed medicines and regular food intake help to prevent or reduce attacks. Very occasionally I am seriously affected by an event causing serious speech impediment and lack of muscle strength and control. My recliner chair is support enough to allow the attack to pass with the minimum of drama.

I believe that chemical spraying of the air and general pollution of the air are main contributory factors to my condition, followed by stress and confrontation. Some days I feel very well others days not as good as I would like.

My N.H.S medical team is great. My wife adjusts her normal routine to attend me when the occasion dictates.

I hope this is of some help!

hi there! Yes I have seizures, not regularly fortunately. They occur when I am on my own in an unfamiliar situation. My BB (best beloved) is making a laminated thingey to hang round my neck (like a name badge). I'll let you know how it goes
