i triedto get a powered wheelchair as i can hardly walk at all local council said i cant have one due to mild epilepsy of which i know is coming about1 hour before this dosent seem fair

Have you had an OT assessment? Get a letter from your GP supporting your lack of mobility that might help? Do you get PIP or DLA?

i get all that they wont let me have one theysayi might have a fit like if i wasdriving a car

Hi guyb,

Wheelchair services all follow dvla guideliness to help them determine risk..their criteria usually focuses around vision and seizures. If.you have been seizure free.for 12 months even with medication then they should allow you to have a chair. Which wheelchair service is it?
