We have just returned from Cockermouth in the Northern part of the Lakes. It is not easy to find suitable accommodation and activities at this stage of C.A.and with my symptoms. We all have different requirements. This will only suit those who are similar.

My holiday interests have always been lakes and mountains not beaches or shopping. I am 56 now so don't go in for zip wire stuff. I used to like walking but now I am confined to a wheelchair. We have a very energetic spaniel who pulls us up tracks.

I would recommend Simonscales Mill for an Ataxia friendly break. The owners are on site and you can ask them about accessible activities that would be suitable.

Hi Marie😊

It looks like an idyllic retreat😊

I read to the bottom and was surprised they mention being near to a dialysis facility.

That must make a difference to many people.

I hope you enjoyed a lovely break 😊xBeryl
