It could just be the feeling it inspires , that you are not alone and that there is the support for you
To be back at sea - even for one week - would be more of a tonic than all the medication and hospital visits put together. Mind you, getting up and down those ladders would be a heck of problem now

I think Bob is here for me sometimes - I talk to him like he is. When I am struggling to do something I ask for his help, or sometimes swear and ask him why isn't he here. It does help, if only to relieve my frustrations.
The Navy was always my life and family, loved it and always will. When things get me really down and I`m on a real bad day/days my photoalbums can do the trick of of bringing me back up again.................
But I dohave days when nowt works and then I just suffer in silnece.
I do find myself many a time drifting off and daydreaming abuot my times in the mob, great times, great mates.
